In 1961, The Brat Stop opened it's doors to provide our community an opportunity to stop in and have a brat and a beer with a neighbor.  We offered our patrons the opportunity to bring a little of that Brat Stop feeling home by opening our cheese mart to purchase brats and cheese.  As the years went on, we realized we needed a bit of entertainment.   We have had many famous bands perform in our building. For several bands it was their first gig before hitting it big. 

        On February 7, 1984, the Brat Stop experienced a major fire, which forced us to temporarily close our doors.  We decided to rebuild with a few changes in mind.  We were to keep the hometown feeling and offer our neighbors a  much larger facility to gather with their family and friends.  A banquet hall was added to further serve our community. 

        Today, we employ over 45 full-time and 115 part-time employees.  We have grown from 1,200 to 46,000 square feet yet somehow still hold on to that hometown atmosphere. We welcome you and your family and friends to visit our family here at the World Famous Brat Stop.
